Just a general question of the group.
We have many interfaces using callHTTP secure posts and some of our customers are running through ISA proxy servers. As many of you are aware callHTTP will only work over the proxy server using basic or no authentication. Also, if passing a certificate with callHTTP you cannot use the current pkcs12 version (.pfx). You have to use openssl conversions to convert them back to pkcs8. We have asked for enhancements to the U2 databases to allow callHTTP to work with all the other authentication types available with the ISA proxy server and to work with pkcs12 certificates. We have also asked that IBM look into giving the databases the ability to work with non-exportable certificates as some of the vendors we work with are now switching to them. The current system is definitely usable and performs well, but it needs to be improved upon in order to work smoothly with end users systems. The communication protocol one software provider is using should not force a company to revamp their security setup just so it will work. So here is the question(s). Is anyone else having the same issues and if so, would you be willing to contact IBM and help us push these enhancements? Is this something the U2UG enhancement committee is willing to look into? If you like you may contact me via phone or email off list. Thanks, Mike Mike Dallaire Senior Applications Developer IBM Certified Solutions Expert Mortgage Builder Software Inc.
