Yes, that would be nice BUT! Ordinary members would be observers, and that's quite difficult to enforce on a conference call.
What would be best if the call could be streamed so that anyone could listen in, but (unless it's changed) the calls are courtesy of IBM on IBM's equipment, and I don't know whether the equipment the board are using even has that capability.
