It all depends who your market is I believe... The strength of our data
model is that most smaller sites spend far less on the 'outcome' in the
short term AND the long term. As such, the 'Big Boys' don't want to have
anything to do with that! What CIO wants to have an operational staff of 5
and $200,000 in hardware and software when they get paid based on staff size
and budget? With a 'propertly designed' SQL solution, their operational
staff would have to be MUCH larrger -- and not to mention the millions they
would need to spend to get the outcome desired. There's little 'down side'
while spending other people's money!

For the 'small business' owner - they want to know the 'end-to-end' solution
holds up well, and will not require much effort and cost to get the outcome
desired. THAT is the target market for U2 -- heck, the whole MVDBMS market
-- and as such, I think we can all agree there is PLENTY of work in that
realm!

So I hate to say 'adios' to those of you who take this as a reason to leave
the party -- it happened last time as well -- With the SB/XA and ease of
using the Visual Studio U2.NET, I have to think the next "course" at this
progressive dinner will probably be as good as, or better than, the last --
thusfar each 'disasterous move' has been a 'Net Plus' for us!

And personally, I love my rose-colored glasses -- Amazingly, I've had a
better year every year since I started wearing them! I've found you get
what you expect -- if you expect good things, they tend to happen... BUT the
same is true if you expect bad things!

Sorry -- no change provided for my .02... ;-)

Have a good week everyone! Get your last minute IBM stuff done!!
