Does BZ have the data conversion logic - eg from MV to .csv, .xls, etc., etc., etc.?

We've used these functions in Accuterm to great advantage for our customers, in addition to all the other functionality offered by Accuterm - eg WED, rich choice of ASCII terminal emulations, etc.

And, no one has mentioned the price of BZ yet. How does BZ compare with the Accuterm single-user license price ($129.00) and Small Business License price ( 50 @ $19.90 ea, 100 @ $16.10 ea and 250 @ $11.00 ea.)?

Plus the support for almost all the other MV databases, not just UV or UD, and the keep-alives for UV, etc., etc., etc.

I suspect that RS will have to do a good deal of R&D to bring BZ just up to even with, much better than, Accuterm in the MV space, and for these prices and volumes, they may conclude that there are bigger fish to fry than terminal emulators.

If RS decides to port UV or UD to other IBM platforms, where 3270 emulations are in common use, then the BZ emulator may find some traction.

Otherwise, I suspect they'll just enhance wIntegrate where they need to to get a justifiable bang for their R&D buck.

That's just my crystal ball today.

I don't want to get to deep into this discussion but I have to agree with Tony (and even when I don't agree with him which is RARE, I am scared to argue with him as his knowledge makes me look like a school kid (well maybe a HS kid) .....)

just kidding! but I will admit that I respect his opinions greatly.

anyway .......

I downloaded BZ and compared to accuterm has a very limiting number of terminal emulations. Also Accuterm allows you to set the number of history rows (paging) and I stopped at 99999999 (so I bet its also "technically unlimityed").

So far it seems to be ok (BZ) but it certainly is lacking compared to accuterm (especially with the pick to pick and pick to pc transfer capability).

now that rocket owes U2 maybe we will see a U2 BZ version come out

Another nice feature that BlueZone has is (apparent) unlimited paging
backwards within a session. DC has a page limit.
