Call for Participation

First International Workshop on Multimedia Data Mining
MDM/KDD2000 to be held in conjunction with

Sixth ACM SIGKDD International Conference on
Knowledge Discovery & Data Mining
August 20, 2000, Boston, MA, USA

The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts in analysis of
digital media content, state-of-art data mining and knowledge
discovery in multimedia database systems, knowledge engineers and
domain experts from different applied disciplines with potential in
multimedia data mining.

Participation in the workshop is by invitation only.
If interested, please contact the workshop co-chairs:
Simeon J. Simoff ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or
Osmar R. Zaiane ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).

Registration is included in the ACM SIGKDD'2000 technical
registration fee. All workshop participants must register for the
SIGKDD'2000 technical program.

Workshop web site:

There were 27 submitted papers from 12 different countries. All papers were
extensively reviewed by three referees. Based on their reviews, 14 papers
have been selected for presentation.
