INTERNATIONAL FUZZY SYSTEMS ASSOCIATION WORLD CONGRESS
                               IFSA 2003
               June 29-July 2, 2003, Istanbul, TURKEY
                         http://www.ifsa2003.org

Congress Objective and Highlights: As the main bi-annual event of IFSA, the
congress aims to bring together scholars and practitioners from around the
world in a stimulating environment to present the latest developments in the
theory and applications of fuzzy sets and systems. The scientific program
includes presentations on the state-of-the-art from top experts in the
field. There will be plenary speakers giving lectures on thought-provoking
issues.

Related Events: IFSA 2003 is preceded by the Joint 13th International
Conference on Artificial Neural Networks and 10th International Conference
on Neural Information Processing (ICANN/ICONIP) 2003 that will take place in
the same venue during June 26-29, 2003, with the day of tutorials (June 29)
overlapping. A special registration fee will be offered to the participants
of both events.

Submission Modes: Two different types of submissions are solicited: long
papers and short papers. The long ones are going to appear in an edited book
and the short ones are going to appear in the conference proceedings. Both
the edited book and the proceedings will be made available during the
conference. Authors should feel free to submit in any mode but should note
the different dates for submission for both types. It is to be noted that
the number of papers that can be accepted as long papers is limited, due to
the limited page numbers of the book to be edited. Also long papers will be
given 25 minutes and short papers will be given 15 minutes for presentation
at the congress. Please visit the congress web site for more information on
submitting a paper.

Call for Special Sessions/Tutorials: Proposals for special sessions (with
extended summaries of 4-5 papers attached) and tutorials should be submitted
by means of an extended summary outline and an area number to SS/T Chair
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). The deadline is December 1, 2002.
