Dear Friends and Colleagues, I am pleased to announce the creation of the www.ambientintelligence.net web page. The web page is meant to promote Ambient Intelligence (AmI), starting with a special issue of the IEEE SMC part A and a workshop to be held in Italy, Pisa, at the 8th Italian conference on AI. I hope that all of you will help us out to promote AmI by proposing new initiatives. For the time being I kindly ask you to advertise the two events as widely as possible.
