We have developed a single-axis multi-parameter camera system with multiple synchronized video streams that share a point of view but differ in their parameters (e.g., different plane of focus, spectral filters, etc.). In this project, the student will apply machine learning techniques -- such as shape recipes, Ada Boost, and others -- to applications such as object segmentation / alpha matting / extended depth-of-field / and HDR-multi-spectral tone-mapping. A solid background in machine learning algorithms is required.
