You are cordially invited to participate in the International Symposium on 
Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics.  The Symposium is a biennial meeting 
that fosters interactions between mathematics, theoretical computer science, 
and artificial intelligence.  It is the ninth symposium in a series, which is 
sponsored by Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.  The Symposium 
features three keynote speakers:  Thomas Dean (Brown University, USA), Carla 
Gomes (Cornell University, USA), and Jeffrey S. Rosenschein (The Hebrew 
University of Jerusalem, Israel).  In addition, there will presentations of 
technical papers, including special sessions on Nonmonotonic Reasoning, Search 
and Optimization Techniques and their Applications, and Planning Under 
Uncertainty.  Traditionally, the Symposium attracts participants from a variety 
of disciplines, thereby providing a unique forum for scientific exchange.

The Symposium will take place at the Holiday Inn Fort Lauderdale Beach. 
Participants qualify for a reduced room rate of $119.00 for an ocean-front room 
(plus applicable taxes, currently 11%). The room rate includes one free 
breakfast per day, and a discount on a second breakfast. Up to four people can 
share a room at the $119 rate. Parking is at a discounted rate of $5 per day.
