Research Positions in Vehicle Routing, Scheduling, OR, CP,
Simulation, ML

National ICT Australia (NICTA) is Australia’s ICT Research Centre of
Excellence.

We currently have several appointments available for Reseacher and
Senior Researchers to join the expanding Intelligent Fleet Logistics
project in both Sydney and Canberra.

Successful candidates will hold a PhD in computer science, mathematics
operations research or a related discipline. They will have an interest
to research one or more of the following areas:

Routing and scheduling algorithms for transport optimisation
Constraint programming for modelling complex operations
Combining simulation with mathematical optimisation
Combining machine learning with optimisation
Robust routing and scheduling algorithms

The ability to contribute new ideas and experience from previous projects
together with professionalism and good communication skills is sought.
Software expertise in C/C++ and/or Java on UNIX and/or MS-Windows platforms.

Appointments will be initially for two years extending thereafter as
