Call for papers: CVPR 2011 workshop on Machine Learning for Vision-based Motion
Analysis
http://web.bii.a-star.edu.sg/~chengli/MLvMA2011/index.html

Vision-based motion analysis aims to detect, track and identify objects, to
understand their behaviors from video sequences. This exciting research area
has received growing interest in recent years due to a wide spectrum of real
world applications. Dedicated machine learning algorithms have been recently
developed and successfully applied to a number of challenging problems and
demonstrate strong potentials. Meanwhile, the process of improving the
performance of vision systems has also brought numerous new challenges to the
field of machine learning, e.g., learning from partial or limited annotations,
structured prediction, manifold learning, kernel machines, and learning with
very or extremely large datasets.
As a continution of MLvMA'08 and MLvMA'09, our workshop aims to solicit
original research contributions that develop machine learning and motion
analysis algorithms to address real-world problems. *All* relevant submissions
are welcome. Additionally, this year our workshop has a special theme on
biological and medical image analysis and modeling in order to meet the need of
emerging biological and medical image technologies. Submissions of novel
approaches to meet the need of emerging biological and medical image
technologies are encouraged. Topics of interest include but are not limited to
a broad spectrum of problems: novel machine learning theories, new motion
analysis methods, and/or new applications.
After the workshop, selected high quality papers will be invited to submit in
their extended forms to a journal special issue.
