BAYESCOMP is a biennial conference sponsored by the ISBA section of the
same name; see https://bayesian.org. The conference and the section both
aim to promote original research into computational methods for
inference and decision making and to encourage the use of frontier
computational tools among practitioners, the development of adapted
software, languages, platforms, and dedicated machines, and to translate
and disseminate methods developed in other disciplines among statisticians.
BAYESCOMP 2018 will take place on March 26th-28th, 2018 in Barcelona,
Spain. Plenary speakers include Gareth Roberts (Warwick), Antonietta
Mira (USI), Andrew Stuart (Caltech) and Merlise Clyde (Duke). The
conference hosts also a number of exciting invited and contributed
sessions. Further details about the schedule, the venue and the
registration can be found in the conference website at:
https://www.maths.nottingham.ac.uk/personal/tk/bayescomp
The program of oral presentations is closed and available online, but
there are still slots for poster presentations as well as possibilities
for travel support especially for PhD students in economically less
advantaged countries. More details can be found at the conference website.
Registration at regular rates ends on January 15th!!
See you in Barcelona!
On behalf of the organising committee,
robert.
