I got the first method (working with getControllerForCommand). I am
not sure what was goofed in my first attempt. Howver, many, that is
most, of the builtin commands do not execute at all. For example:
"cmd_newNavigatorTab" or "cmd_openHelp".  Do I just have an out-of-
date list of callbacks?

As far as using mozIJSSubScriptLoad, even something simple, like
pasting or copying doesn't work me:

function cmd_testme() {
var subscriptLoader = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/moz/jssubscript-
loader;1"]
                      .getService(Components.interfaces.mozIJSSubScriptLoader);
var obj={};
subscriptLoader.loadSubScript("chrome://global/content/
globalOverlay.js",obj);

obj.goDoCommand("cmd_copy");

}

I get no errors when running this, but cmd_copy is not called, at
least not as expected.  Wierd.
