Hmm, I think some people on IRC using Vista were experiencing similar problems; could you try switching to the default skin by going to "about:ubiquity", then clicking on "Your Skins" and selecting "Default" from the list? Oddly enough, the *actual* default skin seems to be the "Ubiquity Experimental" skin, which is rather odd indeed.
