I have used a tiny HTTP/CGI server at my desktop for over a year. Running scripts that integrate other desktop apps with Firefox and the web has made a dramatic difference in usability for me. So, I suggest to integrate a simple HTTP/CGI server in Firefox allowing the development for Desktop Mashups. The exciting benefit for Ubiquity would be that we can develop scripts that don't depend completely on web apps but can integrate many of our desktop apps. Here are a few more thoughts about it: http://pubnotes.wordpress.com/2009/06/09/desktop_mashups/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ubiquity-firefox" group.
