Which version of ubiquity are you using? Only the latest, 0.5.5+ is
being actively developed, so if you want fixes you shoud move to that
version

What makes you think it's a jquery problem? Any error messages?
I'm not using twitter  so I can't check.. but people are posting using
latest:
