Thanks so much for the help! java -version shows me running jre
1.7.0_111. I found someone else on google had this problem and they ran
"sudo apt-get install icedtea-netx" I just tried that and I got airview!
Now the next problem is how do I navigate the airview? And how do I get
the view to scroll away from the bottom so I can see the bottom half of
screen? I use a small notebook running Lubuntu, but should I use
something else, I might have a similar problem with sizing the window

Chrome works fine in recent firmwares. If you have something old or
old java it can be a problem in any browser.
If I ever start an air view and the jnlp failed to download you can
simply append /airview.jnlp to the end of the url to download and run.

I had to switch to Firefox from Chrome for Airviews. I'm just
unable to get it to work in Chrome any more.

Save the JNLP and make sure you have the JRE installed.

Airview will see nearly all noise, that would be a good
first step.

I'm having a slow speed test issue (along with

on or near same channels. Is there other types of
noise sources that
can't be detected via site survey and other brand
wifi detectors? Also,
could a pump-motor on same power circuit cause trouble?
