Yes, particularly with TX to the AP.  Even a link with -41 signal, CINR of 32,
and isolated capacity TX 60 and RX 65 is only getting testing at about 13-17 TX.

Subject: Re: [WISPA Members] Rocket AC Link Throughput Issues

Hi There,

Are you seeing low throughput on all 13 Stations?

Hello All,

We are troubleshooting a bandwidth throughput issues for links on a few
sectors. One such link is between a Rocket 5AC PtP with AM-5G16-120 sector
antenna and a PowerBeam 5AC 500 ISO on a 10mhz channel. The sector has 13
clients, the 500 ISO is 5.3 miles away with an CINR of 24 and received signal
fluctuating around 63. RX. AP side has a CINR of about 23 with received signal
fluctuating around 62.

We realize a few things about this link are not ideal. We look to try an
AM-5G-Ti or AM-5G19-120 antenna on the sector, and perhaps add RF armor. Also,
PTMP and Prism radios were hard to come by when this AP was established, so
we’re looking to swap radio with a Rocket Prism. In spite of these factors
though, throughput still seems lower than it should be. Isolated capacity shows
RX 42 and TX 20-30, but we’re only able to get max of about RX 23 and TX 5.
This particular link is being used to feed a small remote sector with only 5
clients.

We have similar issues on other sectors, two of which have AC Prism Rockets. Is
there anything else we should be looking at besides shielding and different
antennae? Our noise levels don’t look too bad, but do others see noise
statistics from their AC equipment that don’t seem to reflect actual noise
experienced in the environment?

Thanks for your thoughts!
