I'll be looking at one soon, but after the price hike to $1500 per 8 ports and $88 per OLT SFP, they are not really any less expensive than grey market ZTE.
I just got 32 ports of ZTE for about $4000. Also, the cheapest onu for ZTE is $39 in bulk and it has full omci control of every feature. ZTE also has full featured ONU with 4 ethernet ports, dual pots and dual band wifi for $150 or so. Many, many options for multi tenant onu as well. So, we'll see if the UBNT stacks up.
