Hi all,
I am running dapper Drake, and I
know there have been a lot of updates over the last few days. I'm
now experiencing several issues, and due to the fact that so much was updated, I
can't put my finger on any specific causes:
1. When I log into gnome, the sound to
indicate that I've done so successfully has disappeared. I know I should
be able to reenable it under sound preferences; However, I can't because of the
second issue.
2. Festival has become very flaky. This
morning after updating, I was able to run orca one time. On
subsequent reboots, I have been unable to get Festival to speak. The
driver shows up when I run test-speech, and it acts as if it is being activated;
however, no voice at all.
I know that sound actually is working because
although I don't get the login successful sound, I do get the
tom-tom.
Is anyone else experiencing similar
issues?
