We are considering using eSpeak as the default synth for the next 
version of the Live CD so that we can fit more languages on the disc. We 
should make sure that it's easy to install other synths and voices 
later, such as Festival. I'd also like to look at using mbrola, though 
that would have to go in 'multiverse' since it's not really 'Free'. I'd 
be interested to hear people's views on the relative quality of the
