Hi. Speech-dispatcher has a config file to use espeak and the generic speech-dispatcher module. In Ubuntu, you will just install speech-dispatcher and espeak. Then, edit the /etc/speechd.conf file and uncomment the line to add the espeak-generic module. Change the default output module to espeak-generic and restart speech-dispatcher. You will probably need to make other changes to speechd.comf and espeak-generic.conf for your language, but I don't know what should be changed since I use English. Both files are well commented, so you should have no trouble finding the needed lines to change.
Once you have speech-dispatcher working with espeak, you can tell orca to use the gnome-speech speech-dispatcher driver. To get things working with speakup, install the speechd-up package. Hope this helps. Kenny -- Ubuntu-accessibility mailing list Ubuntu-accessibility@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-accessibility
