In this mode you can interact with it typing commands. If you need to test a voice, you can start Festival, switch to the voice and check if it's working. To switch to the voice you should type: (voice_<voice-name>) For example, (voice_nitech_us_slt_arctic_hts) If there is a problem with the voice, Festival will show an error message; if everything is alright, it will output the name of the voice.
