I believe this happens when you follow the testing instructions but do not restart the daemon. The daemon thinks all the stuff (accomps) are still there and they aren't. I updated the directions yesterday and asked everyone to logout and login again after doing the setup (killing the daemon or rebooting would also work). However, this is still a bug, the viewer shouldn't crash from a missing icon. Can someone please file this?

Well in Ubuntu 12.10 the Accomplishments Viewer keeps crashing. I dunno why.

Regards,
Howard Chan (smartboyhw)
Try running it from the terminal by running

accomplishments-viewer

and provide us with the debug information or crash errors it will
print in the terminal.
Thanks for testing!
