As someone living in Africa I would prefer to avoid the cliche of people in
skins. We did just host a world cup ;-)

But the idea is good.

Apologies, just a quick note about a vivid dream I had in my fevered state of
mind.
Stop-motion animation, details of which are hazy. Images include the Earth,
Africa, a tribe in traditional skins clearly prospering in the face of adverse
circumstance.
Text overlaid and also spoken. The voice in my head is native African, but
needn't be. Music in the background is something like the login theme. The
indented bits appear on-screen together, the rest are overlaid as each word is
spoken.

Ubuntu
An ancient African word meaning
 Humanity to others
I am who I am because of who we all are
I stand on the shoulders of giants, and they in turn stand on mine
 We give
 We share
 We work together
 We improve
Together, we can achieve anything.
Ubuntu (www.ubuntu.com)
"""
Right, back to my flu.

I've put some more ideas up at: [email protected]
some of the items are mine, others taken from the list. I'm not nicking
anyone's ideas ... if an idea was yours, please put your name on the
Wiki in place of mine.
Can I remind folk to vote for a time of the next meeting? So far, it
looks like only three can come .... last meeting was more or less a
dialogue. If you can't get, maybe you could look at the pre-meeting
notes and leave comments on the doodlepad.
