Hi Guys ... Hope you're OK for tomorrow's early meeting. Before we meet, please try to glance at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuAdverts/Research/unity%20hater
It doesn't make easy reading - we have one really angry guy, and you have to cut through 'rant mode' to hear what he is saying. Reading between the lines, I think the Ubuntu symbol in the top panel extreme left might have been what he was trying to use. Personally, I do find what it offers is a bit naff. Anyone know if there are plans to make it do more useful things? For example, we could have an icon that says 'all apps' which brings up a unity launcher window with all the categories that we have when we right-click on the apps icon on the sidebar. I know this is design, not part of our brief, but I think things our research shows up ought to be passed on to the design team. Secondly, you might find time before the meeting to glance at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuAdverts/Research?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=simple_guide_natty_unity.pdf I reckon that if our angry man had read this while testing, he might have been less angry! But I do use the right click on the apps icon in preference to the top left icon! What do you think? See you all tomorrow.
