We could probably fit in a full number row at the top for all password
fields, since we won't be displaying the word-ribbon, since a lot of
good passwords include numbers this could be quite handy

Title:
Number keypad not shown when entering passphrase to unlock the phone

Status in ubuntu-keyboard package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
In order to test another thing I chose a numbers-only passphrase, but
every time I have to enter it I need to press a key to enable the
number keys, or use the long press feature; both render it more
difficult to just get past it. Could it make sense to show the number
  keys all the time?
