Yep, all possible with blender.

Blenders inteface is quite a bit different than max or lightwave, so it is 
taking me a while to get comfortable with it. The documentation is great 
however, and nostarch press has a couple of nice blender books. I was 
fortunate enough to get a couple at the last Oreilly conference in Portland.

One really cool thing you can do with blender is attach behaviors  to objects, 
and then fire it up as a game. It is very very slick.

I have a bunch of new backgrounds that I will be posting soon. I will post a 
message as soon as they are posted.
