Note that when you look at the interface you see the content - the picture, the calendar, the weather, etc. But if you want to see how much battery you have left it's easy to spot and very clear. The icons and window decoration get out of your way. I like how inactive icons at the bottom are grey and active ones are white. The "new email" icon has a green emblem indicating that it's something you're probably interested in.
