Actually, it's been written already (but only announced on the -website list). Here's the code you can use on your server : http://www.2nt.free.fr/host/jaunty/source.php , and you can use http://www.2nt.free.fr/host/jaunty/countdown2.php as an image src attribute on your website (or host the code on your PHP 5.1+ server).
