Hi David, CSV files would work but is slow. While it was a while ago since I migrated data from Access to MySQL, I used a script which would dump a mysql dump file. There are plenty of conversion scripts and programs out there. http://www.bullzip.com/download.php (it needs to run on a Windows side machines) looks good but I haven't used it.
