Good morning all, As per the recent meeting I think we're as close as we've ever been to a consensus on the updating of the team mission statement. The revision we currently have is following and if anyone still has any major concerns please feel free to let us know.
Mission Statement for UbuntuAU: "The Australian Ubuntu Team (Ubuntu-AU) is united by a commitment to the philosophy of Ubuntu and FOSS (Free and Open Source Software). We therefore advocate freedom from the constraints of proprietary software and enjoy the power to make our own choices to meet our computing needs. Ubuntu-Au provides a common hub to share ideas, resources and experiences to enable localised Ubuntu user groups to distribute, advertise, promote and demonstrate Ubuntu throughout Australia. " If there are no strong objections to using this as the statement I think we should just go ahead and start using it. To this end I have updated this on the main team wiki [0] and I'm thinking of some way to try and incorporate this into the team website [1], I'm open to suggestions on how to incorporate it well though. Thanks to everyone who has put in a lot of work into getting this just right, I don't think we're too far away from locking it in now.
