scim icon is showing in notification area. now simple method is- put cursur in text area of firefox or open office and then press ctrl+space. scim will active and show a drow down. but in my case I put mouse pointer/curser in this area (gmail) and press ctrl+space, nothing happen. so i need to write in english. but in leafpad i can choose input methods>scim input method. so it work. I can't understand if i do any wrong in scim global setup now I am check that in the notification area. i click left click on scim icon but nothing show. but on right click it showing a drom down menu (scim setup, reload configuration etc.) I don't know if i can recover from this hazard.
