I'd like to wish the best of luck to Jurgen, Pierre, JanC, Adrien, Pieter and Mark. Although I ask myself: why isn't jean in it?
Anyway, I hope this first step will make Ubuntu-be grow and that it will enable us to have a decent structured organization. I'd like to provide my opinion for the last point. I'm also a support point and I don't mind to deliver Cd's which I've burned myself. The only problem is that people really like the nicely burned version more (including me). I'd like to share the following idea: On events original Cd's and self burned versions are provided. We then ask for a small fee (eg. 1 euro) for an original CD. This fee can then be used to buy new empty Cd's which We'll burn again. I think that's fair. Of course this has not really a benefit for the support points but maybe in time self-burned versions of the Cd's can be provided to the support points? We can also make a customized paper sleeve for the Cd's (maybe even version independent) that can be provided to the support points to make the self burned disks look nicer. Ubuntu-be.org - About Laying some foundations - Vilvoorde meeting 25/04/2011 The meeting report was sent to the mailing list 27/04 at 15.39 h. and is vailable in the wiki https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/PastMeetings/Vilvoorde_2011-04-25 It was decided that the first council will be composed of 6 members (Jurgen, Pierre, JanC, Adrien, Pieter and Mark - mandate 1 year) and starts on 01/05/2011. To do (not limited!) : sub-team in launchpad, mail address council At ubuntu-be Dot org, mailing list (?)update wiki (page BelgianTeam/Responsibility, new pages Mission statement and Council meetings agenda+reports), planning IRC and IRL meetings, ..., preparation new election(2012), ... b. Membership Belgian LoCo Team on launchpad : welcome to new members, nero, Jelle Verbist and Tubuntu. c. CD's and Support points Support points asked cd's from the LoCo Team in replacement of the Canonical cd's, which are no more delivered to individuals. The 250 Canonical cd's for Ubuntu-be.org are already not enough for the planned 6 months events and therefore not available for Support points. The only partial solution is to provide a few self-burned cd's via the organized booths and events (or post). We have to study a better solution. 5.
