This is truly a sad moment. I was really hoping that Montel was going to straighten up and get back on course, but I guess he didnt' realize what was at stake with his antics. I was hoping to see him become a member of the team, and I hear he is actually quite a smart kid, it's too bad we had to lose someone that could have been a great asset to the team.
That being said, I understand the choice that has been made to ban him, and I agree with it as well. Our job as Ubuntu Beginner's Team members is not to babysit and monitor the actions of others. We are dedicated to helping others, and as such we need to uphold our image of mature and helpful people who are here for others. Unfortunately, I feel had Montel become a member of the team, his antics would reflect on us poorly, and might make others weary of seeking or heeding our assistance. To Paul and all the others who have tried to reason with him, and deal with his behavior, I commend you on your efforts, and truly appreciate your patience with this matter. Alas, there is only so much we can do to try and dissuade someone of their ill actions, and I understand that we can only let things go on for so long before permenant action must take place. I hope we never have to take these actions against another again, but if we do, I know that it will be for the best of the team, as well as the entire Ubuntu community.
