Public bug reported: Canonical would like us to register for local events in order to track interests. All well and good. The problem is:
When I try to register for local event by clicking [Register] button at http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/ubuntu-us-or/2455-ubuntu-hour/. I am then presented with the UbuntuOne login page. I have just setup and double checked my credentials for UbuntuOne, it logs me in fine. However when I try to register for local event, I'm presented with UbuntuOne's "Personal Data Request" page, where I click [Yes, log me in] button. After receiving a security warring stating page is encrypted and information I entered is to be sent unencrypted. I receive an error page which states "An attribute required for log-in was not returned (nickname)". Problem solved its self: After 4 or 5 attempts I was finally able to register for the local event. I don't know what the problem was, however I hope it does not take everyone 30 minutes to simply register for an event. Thanks Phil.
