José, teste com o sun-java5 e veja se aparece o plugin dele. Se sim: sudo apt-get install sun-java5-jre sun-java5-fonts sun-java5-bin sun-java5-plugin
Acho que pelo menos resolve o seu problema momentaneamente. Ah...tive outra idéia (não sei se funcionará). Se você conseguir o .deb do sun-java6-plugin talvez consiga instalá-lo na mão (já que o resto das dependências vc já tem). Tentei achar rapidamente aqui pelo google um ftp com o repositório do feisty mas não tive sucesso (o trampo hoje aqui está pesado, o que me diminui as horas disponíveis de google, hehe).
