Peguei o bonde andando, mas pelo que pude perceber a tentativa é de instalar o flash. É algo absurdamente simples, basta ter certeza de que possui habilitado os componentes main, restricted, universe e multiverse (veja instruções para isto aqui: http://wiki.ubuntu-br.org/AdicionandoRepositorios). E então instalar o pacote:
$ sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree Ou se preferir, para isto existe o Adicionar/Remover... e o Synaptic também! Não tem erro.
