Ai galera, Problema resolvido. Passei para o kernel os parâmetros: acpi=off apm=power_off e funcionou. Vi pessoas na net que colocaram também "apm power_off=1" no /etc/modules, mas isso me parece redundante. O estranho é que eu não tinha nenhum parâmetro desses no kernel no Edgy e funcionava normal. Espero que ajude mais alguém ai.
