Minha experiência: Meses atrás experimentei o 8.04 em um laptop Toshiba 400 MHz, 180MB RAM, 4GB disco, vídeo 800x600 e CD-ROM.
Nem Gnome, nem KDE e nem o Xfce funcionaram, se é que considerar funcionar é conseguir fazer alguma coisa sem se irritar. Para esse Toshibinha, quem rodou maravilhosamente bem foi um Puppy Linux.
