My mentor is a xorg man, but I soon discovered I was better off triaging simpler packages. I mostly look for old, untouched bugs or bugs without a package, and start there. There is WAY to many very old untouched bugs in lp. 5: I didn't keep a list, but here are some of the bugs I've been involved in: Bug #554627, I have asked in #ubuntu-bugs for it to be set as triaged/high (makes a default installation unusable).
