Hi, Bug 774978: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/774978
is a widespread X server crash relating to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics that was fixed/worked around in June last year. There are still a whole bunch of people commenting that they were seeing it; so I asked if it really was the same bug or just an X crash, and if they weren't sure to do a separate report. One of those who did make a separate report is: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/940761 The backtrace in that (although not having a fullset of symbols) does look similar. I mention it because I'm not sure if this is really a reawakening of an old (well duped) bug or just a dumping ground for X crashes.
