Is there someplace we should be redirecting bugs to that are related to 3rd party software - in particular steam (the game thing):
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tar/+bug/1111668 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tar/+bug/1112813 are both segv's in tar in time() while extracting steam's tar, however the /proc/maps copy in the reports are showing they're picking up the libc/librt/libpthread from steam's dir; without knowing the story behind those it's difficult to say what's going on.
