-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Harold Sitter recently pointed me to this page ( https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Specs/LucidBugTriagePolicy ) that it appears he created describing a change in the Kubuntu bug triaging policy that says to invalidate bugs that are present upstream, and ask the user to go report it upstream, rather than report it upstream and link the launchpad report to the upstream report. This is in direct conflict with the Ubuntu bug triaging policies. Since kubutu is just a respin of the Ubuntu project on launchpad and the bugs comingle, this seems rather unwise.
Was this policy sanctioned by the community council / tech board? And wouldn't it be wise to separate the projects ( on launchpad ) if they are going to have radically different policies? At the very least, the Ubuntu policy should be updated to indicate this and describe how to tell if a package falls under kubuntu instead of ubuntu. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.14 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBCgAGBQJTM3kKAAoJEI5FoCIzSKrwFZcH/23/2hFRzydyXZ3z3FsD4zNk hIWcDYfi1ffL3UNPM8nkTW5i1rRh7srHd+csvBel8lGrMc2eIGq4oUXApPTIVhhw l5/YpVTw1LMzRQefAmQ3s2RcsQ38gMD7feKvRwINrl2fsnxIK91/LpwZkw5303mm T8gIW9Yy6pRVH0R6HyZAXD9NL8JQZ5QGQ8FDIwJ79fFifQlqtvcivbX4IK9lHRfA PGo2ZfpgV5V9cLSHFcIqQQulVCLt5ufJQECr1cWwpjwqDcCiQn15v6JmhEBjgd08 ZK+emoIPC8TL2URk/FY/g3KnJMUVZXopE+b2qq8XQiQdze8YWj+WhiVC9HcHXH8= =4KYN -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-bugcontrol Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-bugcontrol More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
