I am experiencing the same symptoms: black blocks, duplicated/displaced
window contents, and flickering visible only to Google Meet
participants. Moving windows and scrolling make it worse; the local
display remains normal. I observed this in both Chrome and Firefox.

My configuration:

- Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, kernel 7.0.0-38-generic
- GNOME Shell 50.1-0ubuntu1.3
- Mutter 50.1-0ubuntu2.4
- NVIDIA RTX 3060, open kernel driver 595.99.02
- Wayland
- PipeWire 1.6.2
- Google Chrome 155.0.8059.39
- Three monitors, 120/60/60 Hz, all at 100% scaling

A workaround successfully eliminated the corruption in a live Meet test:
launch a separate Chrome instance with no EGL vendor libraries and GPU
acceleration disabled.

```
env __EGL_VENDOR_LIBRARY_FILENAMES='' google-chrome \
  --user-data-dir="$HOME/.local/share/chrome-meet-workaround" \
  --guest \
  --disable-gpu \
  --no-first-run \
  --no-default-browser-check \
  https://meet.google.com
```

I also published the launcher, installer, uninstaller, and diagnostic
details here:

https://github.com/samdrom/chrome-meet-wayland-fix

It adds a separate Chrome Google Meets launcher and leaves the regular
Chrome profile and system configuration unchanged.

This is a workaround, not a confirmed root-cause fix. It may increase
CPU usage, and the successful test also used a fresh browser profile, so
the variables have not yet been isolated individually. Hopefully this
helps others and provides a useful lead for investigating the EGL/DMA-
BUF capture path.
