Public bug reported:
Raspberry Pi 5 (arm64), Ubuntu 26.10, Wayland.
GNOME Terminal 3.58.0, VTE 0.84.1.
When I run `ls -l`, some regular-file lines visually lack the leading
'-'. The copied text contains all the hyphens. Resizing the terminal
temporarily refreshes the display; scrolling can make the missing text
appear. The display also flickers intermittently.
The issue also occurs with `command ls --color=never -l | cat`. It does
not occur in xterm, with `seq 1 1000`, with `ls -1`, or with a 50-line
printf test. Terminal size: 34 rows x 179 columns.
