I use Ubuntu 26.04 in a 2 seats environment with two graphic cards
(radeon, intel onboard). In order to avoid boot problems I need to set
i915.modeset=1 on the kernel command line and in /etc/modprobe.d.
Since some days I (Kernel version 6.17.0, 7.0.0) I get the kernel
message "i915.modeset=1 is deprecated. Please remove it and the
'nomodeset' kernel parameter instead."
This didn't work for me, probably as "nomodeset" affects both graphics
cards. Therefore, it is not a replacement for "i915.modeset=1" in my
2-seats environment. "i915.modeset=1" is still needed.
