Public bug reported:

This is a debian package:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/test-rebuild-20260320-resolute/+build/32431677
which fails to build because of a symbol mismatch between the symbols in the
package vs the symbols in the so library:
dpkg-gensymbols: warning: debian/libiir1/DEBIAN/symbols does not match
completely debian/libiir1.symbols

This happens for: amd64 amd64v3 arm64 ppc64el s390x.

This crash won't happen for armhf or riskv64.

As a fix I've created a package as PPA which has the symbols file removed and
it works:
https://launchpad.net/~berndporr/+archive/ubuntu/dsp/+build/33847331
