Public bug reported:
A new release of opencc is available for merging from Debian.
Ubuntu: 1.4.1+ds1-7ubuntu1
Debian Unstable: 1.4.2+ds1-1
### New Debian Changes ###
opencc (1.4.2+ds1-1) unstable; urgency=medium
[ Frank Lin ]
* New upstream release.
- Fixes the legacy .ocd dictionary detection on big-endian architectures,
which was carried here as a patch since the previous upload.
- Speeds up the conversion hot path considerably and adds two
experimental interfaces (word-level candidate lookup and one-to-many
ambiguity annotation, exposed on the command line as
"opencc --ambiguities"). Both live in private, uninstalled headers;
the C++ ABI is unchanged (SOVERSION 1.4).
* debian/patches: Drop two patches that are no longer needed.
- 0010-fix-git-version-fallback.patch: upstream now sets the
cmake/GitVersion.cmake fallback version to the released version.
- 0012-fix-legacy-dict-detection-on-big-endian.patch: applied upstream.
* debian/patches: Refresh the remaining patches against the new source.
* debian/tests/jieba-plugin: Update the expected s2twp_jieba output for the
new upstream regional term 内存条 -> 記憶體模組 (was 記憶體條).
* debian/libopencc1.4.symbols: Add the symbols new in 1.4.2 (the
AmbiguityStream/GetAllConversions helpers behind the experimental API,
MarisaDict::EnumerateKeys and PrefixMatch::SkipUnmatchable). None of
them are part of the installed headers; the SONAME is unchanged. The
four new symbols whose mangling contains size_t are listed as (regex)
entries with [mj], like the existing ones, so that they also match on
32-bit architectures.

opencc (1.4.1+ds1-8) unstable; urgency=medium
* Do not ship the generated .ocd2 dictionaries in Architecture: all
packages. They are marisa-trie images written in host byte order and
are unusable on hosts of the opposite endianness, so every big-endian
architecture received the little-endian copies built on the arch:all
buildd. On s390x this made opencc fail at runtime with "Invalid OpenCC
Marisa dictionary: [...] size > avail_", which is what the s390x
autopkgtest has been catching since the tests were re-enabled in -7.
- debian/libopencc1.4.install, debian/libopencc-data.install: Move
usr/share/opencc/*.ocd2 back from libopencc-data (arch:all) to
libopencc1.4 (arch:any), reverting the move made in 1.4.1+ds1-4.
This also fixes the undeclared file conflict between libopencc-data
and libopencc1.4/libopencc1.1, as libopencc-data now only ships the
architecture-independent *.json configurations. (Closes: #1145010)
- debian/opencc-jieba.install, debian/opencc-jieba-data.install:
Likewise move usr/share/opencc/jieba_dict/jieba_merged.ocd2 from
opencc-jieba-data (arch:all) to opencc-jieba (arch:any). The
plain-text jieba_dict/*.utf8 sources stay in opencc-jieba-data.
- debian/control: Add the matching Breaks/Replaces against
libopencc-data (<< 1.4.1+ds1-8~) on libopencc1.4 and against
opencc-jieba-data (<< 1.4.1+ds1-8~) on opencc-jieba.
- debian/control: Adjust the binary package descriptions to say which
package now holds the dictionaries.
- debian/README.source: Document that the .ocd2 files are byte-order
dependent, must never be shipped arch:all, and that libopencc1.4
therefore cannot be marked Multi-Arch: same.
- debian/opencc-jieba.lintian-overrides: New file, overriding
arch-dep-package-has-big-usr-share for the same reason.

### Old Ubuntu Delta ###
opencc (1.4.1+ds1-7ubuntu1) stonking; urgency=medium
* Move ocd2 files back to per-arch binary packages (LP: #2165794):
- Move the main dictionaries to libopenccX.Y.
- Move the ocd2 Jieba dictionary to opencc-jieba.
- Add versioned Breaks/Replaces for upgrades from the old file owners.
