I didn't find the folder ~gdm/.config, could you clarify me? For now I am using the HDMI port directly wired to the Nvidia GPU, which didn't present the issue.
I as using the USB-C to HDMI adapter since it have HMDI+USB+... and was the best user experience to connect a laptop to my home setup.
